I started Shorebird to provide CFO-level financial support to organizations that needed assistance on an ad hoc basis. This level of support is provided to businesses, churches, and nonprofits that don’t need ongoing support each month, but want the level of expertise only when needed throughout the year. Creating this model allows organizations to receive top-notch expertise and service without breaking the bank.
How Shorebird was Hatched
After co-founding Finch, a company that provides accounting and financial services to businesses, churches, and nonprofits, Corey Johnson saw that organizations needed a solution for personalized financial support that was differentiated. Corey started pursuing the idea and found that he wanted to create something that offered what was actually needed – strategic financial expertise on an “as needed” basis at a reasonable rate.
Since then, Shorebird has been doing just that! Being able to offer the world-class service Corey imagined in a way that stewards the organization’s finances well.
